Cambodia! Day 4

We had fallen asleep at like 8:00 the night before, and woke up around 4 not able to go back to sleep. Kenny had a migraine and didn't start feeling better until after he threw up. I got to talk to my sweet kids back home for a little bit. I missed them!  We went downstairs to eat a yummy breakfast and headed to the beach for a couple of hours. They had free canoe rentals though, so Kim took Ty and Sam out for a little bit, then Kenny took Ty again after. Bryn was worried about flipping over so she didn't go. Oh I can never get enough of the beach! So beautiful. We didn't have too long since we had to pack up and check out by 11. It was a long 4.5 hour trip back to their home in Phnom Penh.

Caleb's company provides a driver for them, so Sam Nang would pick us up and take us everywhere we needed to go. Including these longer road trips. He's a very nice guy, but speaks very little English. Also, there was always 9 of us in a 7 passenger van. Thankfully they don't really have any road laws over there haha, and so we just all packed in and played musical chairs a bit.

When we got back that night we just made a quick, easy meal for the kids and their babysitter (Chanrith?) came over. She put all the kids to bed while we went out to eat. We took a tuk tuk to the restaurant, Flavors of India. Caleb drove over on his moto after he got off work and met us there. It was my first time eating at an Indian restaurant and it was so good! Pretty spicy, but good! After that we went to the night market and walked around. They had some singers up on stage and just a fun atmosphere. We bought a few souvenirs, including watches for Ty and Bryn. We also got coconut ice cream and strawberry milk with tapioca balls in it. We sat on a mat on the ground and talked for a while, then came home. It was a fun night and I love that we're here with Kim and Caleb!

Tyler, Samuel and Kim take it for a ride. I was trying to keep Tyler and Brynlee as covered up as I could. They were so so burned. I wouldn't let them take off their swim shirts or hats. I even made Bryn keep her shorts on too!

This sweet little Zoe is just so dang cute! I could eat her up. She's just a few months older than Briggs.
Bryn in the front, Ty and Kenny in the canoe.

It was a rare treat when we stopped at a place with ACTUAL toilets!! Not just holes in the ground. But apparently, most Khmer people still prefer squatting and do it on the toilet too so you see a lot of signs like this haha, It's so bizarre to me, but that's what's normal for them.
