We were able to do a lot of fun stuff with Grandma Weston and Mike, before the rest of the crew showed up on Wednesday night. We headed up to Alyeska and had a better view than we've ever seen the 3 times we've been! It was a perfectly clear day and the view was spectacular! Mike and Ty even went on a little hike and brought back a snowball that Ty threw at me! We got to see some marmot's pretty close and hear the funny high-pitched and loud whistle they make. I had never seen one before so that was pretty cool. Just like the rest of the US we are having an unusually hot summer (which I love!). Last year when we came there was still SO much snow and so much cloud cover that we couldn't see any of the glaciers, or go very far. But this year was totally different and neat to see it both ways. Also not pictured was our delicious dinner at the Moose's Tooth (a notorious pizza place here in Anchorage), showing Mike our special place, and attending Ty and Bryn's weekly gymnastics class.

Another day we took them to the Native Heritage Center to learn more about the 8 main tribes of native Alaskans. These are whale jaw bones we are standing in, which are a third the size of the whale. That is HUGE. I can't imagine hunting those things in their little kayaks. They were (are) pretty tough people
And to escape our super over-heated house we went swimming at Goose Lake Park, of course :).
