Weston Family Reunion July 24th-26th

**This is supposed to be before Rockland (my previous post). I accidentally published them out of order.

The Weston Family Reunion was held at Heber Valley Girls Camp. Kenny's parents are missionaries there, and this is their last summer to be there. They go for 6 months at a time, 3 years in a row. They absolutely love it and it was the first time we've been able to join everybody there and see them in their element. We met up with everyone on Friday the 24th, at Dairy Keen for a yummy lunch before driving up to the camp. It's tradition--we always eat there when we're in Heber together.

This was one of the first things we saw when we got there. This deer was sitting so close to us and didn't mind a bit!

Grandpa and Grandma in front of their RV/fifth wheel where all the senior couples live while up there. It's a nice, cozy little place.

Poor Grandpa had to escape from all the noise and chaos every now and again. :) He has a talent for being able to fall asleep anytime, anyplace!
This huge room was where we played, ate, and slept. Actually we got a back room because we have a baby. But our older kids slept out here with everyone else.

The first night there we went on a nice walk around the lake. It was so beautiful!

Kelsey makes fast friends wherever we go. Here she buddied up with uncle Rick and aunt Shalean.

The next morning we had a fun little parade with all the senior couples throwing candy to the kids. Below is Grandma Weston throwing some candy out to her own grandkids!

One morning we got to all go in the canoes. I didn't go because Briggs fell asleep right when we got there and I had been waking him up for every. single. activity. thus far, and just didn't have the heart to do it again. So I sat in the nice cool shade and let him sleep for a bit while poor Kenny had to row around with the other 4 kids haha. After a while somebody finally took pity on him and took Bryn and Mads in their canoe.
But they do a really fun thing every year where everyone makes one huge circle with their canoes while out on the lake and they bang on the canoes with the oars and take a fun panoramic picture. I was sad I didn't get to experience it but glad my family did! It looked cool from the sidelines :).

Grandma, Jaycee, and Jeni

This made me laugh so hard. As they're coming back in (they'd been out for quite a while) Kelsey looked as bored as ever haha. I guess she was upset that she didn't get to switch canoes like her older sisters did.

Next up was the ropes course/zip line. I was so proud of the older 3 kids for being brave and doing it. Kelsey was way too small, but she gave it a valiant effort. Kenny and I did it too. I never think it's a big deal or that I'm afraid of heights until I'm up there and I start to lose my breath it's so high!

Brynlee rocking it. She was so serious the whole time, concentrating hard and probably scared, too!

Madison's always got a sweet smile for us.

On Sunday we went to church outside under a pavilion. After Sacrament meeting we came back and had to pack up all our stuff and clean out so that all the senior couples could have a big pot luck dinner there that night. So all our cars were loaded up but we stopped to eat ice cream cones (someone had brought ice cream and we just hadn't gotten around to eating it yet and couldn't let it go to waste!). It was a fun last little hoorah before we had to actually say goodbye. Made a good opportunity to take a few more family pictures too.

Kelsey, Weston, and Juliet are all 3 years old
Shariane and Briggs
Kate and Kels--best of friends
Briggs had his own little following of little girls. Maylee, Jaycee, (and usually Natalie too) were always coming to see him periodically throughout the weekend and play with him. They would say "let's pretend we're at the zoo and he's a baby panda bear and we pet him". :) Not sure how Briggs felt about all this attention haha but I thought it was so cute. Little girls love babies!

All the siblings (in age order) except Mike!
Nevermind that Kenny broke his glasses during all these jumping pictures!! :( He had just barely got them a few days earlier.
Didn't want the in-laws to feel left out so we got a jumping picture too :)  Missing Eric!
