Family Day Out--Sep. 6th

Back on Friday, Sep. 6th, Kenny had the day off so we set off to have a day together as a family. Kenny hadn't been to Hatcher's Pass yet and I really wanted to show it to him, so even though it was raining, we bundled everyone up and went. We even brought little Jake and he was very happy to join.
us. After a little while the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy it more. It was absolutely gorgeous there. The pictures don't do it justice, it is just my favorite time of year. Autumn is so beautiful! Even though we hadn't planned to, we stopped and picked blueberries because they were just everywhere. It was a great day of exploring. We were disappointed that we didn't see any bears, but we did see some moose. Captain Ken drove us all the way through the pass, stopping when we felt like it for everyone to play. It was a wonderful time surrounded by such beauty and being together.

Ooh, what beautiful pictures! I love the idea of going hiking for a date. I will have to suggest that one :)
