Uncle "Annie", First Lost Tooth etc.

On Tuesday, March 18th (the day after I got back from Utah) Kenny's brother Andy got here! He just got a job, also working at BP just like Kenny. He's staying with us for a little bit until his family gets up here halfway through April. It has been so much fun having him around. The kids have a blast with him, and little Kelsey is especially obsessed. She calls him "Uncle Annie" and it's so cute. She occasionally runs right past her daddy and to her uncle Andy when they get home from work together :). We are really excited to have family nearby!!

A picture I snapped while walking Jake. He's getting a little more manageable with a shock collar for whenever he barks, and one of those chains that chokes him if he pulls too hard ahead of me. He's much better when it's just the two of us, rather than all the kids and us. He's not quite so protective so he doesn't have to freak out anytime he sees another human being. If you look closely, he's actually taking me on a walk. He likes to grab the leash in his mouth and run ahead like he's in charge.

Kelsey likes to sit on my shoulders while we have scriptures, or just reading books on the couch.

Took the kids to the museum again. They have a neat exhibit going on about all the plastic and trash in our oceans. Lots of really creative and cool artwork about it, including a short little video that really left an impression on the kids, especially Tyler.

We had our first child lose his first tooth!! He has watched all his friends and cousins lose their teeth first, and was feeling a little left out. So he got super excited when his tooth started wiggling--for real this time! We pulled it out on Sunday night and had fun playing Tooth fairy for the first time. That lucky boy woke up with a gold coin ($1 coin) in a cute little envelope. He doesn't like to sleep with a pillow, but he borrowed Kelsey's pillow so he would have something to put his tooth under :). Now he thinks it's really neat to spit water through that hole. Welcome to the toothless kid club!

Been doing lots of organizing and spring cleaning. It feels so good and I can't help myself with all the sunshine we've been having!! A little before and after of the homeschool cabinet the other day. this awesome cabinet holds all office supplies, arts and crafts, and homeschool stuff. It was quite a disaster.
It always gets worse before it gets better, right?
